    David P. Luaces, DVM

    Dr. David Luaces

    Dr. Luaces was born and raised in Redding, California. He is a 1998 graduate of Washington State University with a B.S. degree in Microbiology. He is also a 2002 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine having finished his clinical year at North Carolina State University. Following graduation, Dr. Luaces completed a rotating internship in surgery and medicine with VCA Berwyn/Franklin Park where he also met his wife Kathy. In his free-time Dr. Luaces enjoys numerous outdoor activities including snowboarding, wakeboarding, mountain and road biking and triathlons. Dr. Luaces and Kathy share their home with their daughter Avery, “some” cats and Ned their 12-year old rescued Australian Shepherd.

    Dr. Jennifer Creed

    Dr. Jennifer Creed is a life long animal lover and an experienced veterinarian. She graduated from Benedictine University and University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She brings a vast amount of medical and surgical experience from over a decade by working in a small animal ER. She also is continuing her education in veterinary dentistry and laser surgery and advanced soft tissue surgery. Dr. Creed lives with her husband, 4 children, 3 dogs, 5 rag-doll cats, 2 horses, and a cockatoo named Jim.

    Christina, Receptionist/Technician


    Christina has been a part of Tri City's team for over 4 years now. With a passion for animals, Christina has worked in some facet of veterinary medicine since high school which is when Christina first started working with animals while volunteering at Helping paws. Christina is currently transitioning and training as a receptionist.

    Andrew (Drew) Hudkins, Veterinary Technician

    Drew is currently training to be a veterinary technician here at Tri City Animal Hospital. Drew and his wife currently have over 30 different reptiles including snakes, tree frogs, breaded dragons, and too much more to name. Training as a veterinary technician can be quite demanding, however, Drew always keeps his focus and provides quality care to our patients.

    Heather Packard, Veterinary Technician

    Heather has worked in the veterinary field for 3 years. Heather enjoys working with animals and providing quality care. The most rewarding feeling for Heather is working along side the veterinarian while assisting in surgical procedures. Heather currently attends McHenry County College pursuing her associate's degree. Heather's hobbies include four-wheeling and shopping.

    Kim Ortega, Lead Receptionist

    Kim has worked at Tri-City Animal Hospital since 2011. Kim is a valuable member of our team. As a lead receptionist, Kim is responsible for overall management of the front desk area by providing exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and clients. One of Kim's most enjoyable experiences has been getting to know our patients and their families and following their care at Tri-City Animal Hospital. Kim enjoys participating in marathons, walks, cooking, and relaxing with her family on the weekends. Kim started working for Tri-City Animal Hospital in January of 2011 as a receptionist.

    Brianna Augusty, Veterinarian Assistant

    Brianna is a 2016 graduate from Waubonsee community college with an Associates Degree in science - biology and a EMT-B license. She is currently employed as an veterinarian assistant at Tri-City Animal Hospital. Brianna enjoys horse back riding and volunteering for Christ community church middle school ministry. She is also the lucky owner of Kelly, a high energy beagle mix, and enjoys having adventures with her new husband.
